Kailee
Registered Veterinary Technician
I graduated from Olds College in 2011 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. I love being able to spend so much time with our furry friends while enjoying the fast-paced veterinary environment. I feel very fortunate to contribute to the lives of pets and clients in a positive way.
When I’m not at the clinic, I love to spend time with my 4-year-old daughter and 12-year-old dog, Winnie. I enjoy hiking, camping, snowboarding, bike riding, and reading.
Amanda
Registered Veterinary Technician
I have had a passion for helping animals for as long as I can remember and knew from a young age that I wanted to work in veterinary medicine. Before going to Tech School, I was fortunate enough to work at Arrowhead as a Technician Assistant. I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2023 with Distinction and didn’t hesitate to come back to work at Arrowhead as a Registered Veterinary Technician. I was born and raised in Cochrane and feel very fortunate to be able to give back to my community. I love being able to help make a difference in our patient’s lives and create relationships with our amazing clients.
I also have a big passion for horses, so when I’m not at work you can usually find me spending my time out at the barn.
Noelle
Technician Assistant
I have been working as a Technician Assistant here at Arrowhead
Veterinary Centre since 2022 and am excited to have recently been
accepted into the Animal Health and Technology program at Olds
College.
I have lived in Cochrane next to the stunning mountains my entire
life. I have always loved animals and nature and in my spare time I
photograph the wildlife around my home. I also enjoy hiking and
backcountry camping. I have had 2 guinea pigs in the past and
currently have a gerbil named Ash.
It is a pleasure being part of this family at Arrowhead and helping
all the animals.
Kerry
Technician Assistant
I joined the amazing Arrowhead team in September 2022. I am currently enrolled in the Animal Health Technician program at Penn Foster College. Becoming a Vet Tech has always been a dream of mine.
I am originally from the UK and moved to Canada with my family in 2009. Growing up in the UK, I was always surrounded by and bonded with animals. My first career in law enforcement introduced me to working with police dogs, assisting with animal welfare complaints, and education.
Family life is busy with my husband and two daughters. We love visiting the mountains to hike, bike, and ski. At home we have two Australian Shepherds, one sassy kitty, two busy ferrets, a talkative guinea pig, and a tarantula!
Jenny
Registered Veterinary Technician
I attended Lakeland College and have been in the veterinary field for about 5 years. I pride myself on my compassion for both the pets and their owner’s. I know I would want my own dog to have someone genuinely care for him if he was hospitalized so I aim to give the best treatment I can to the patients. I love spending my days working with animals, from giving nail trims to assisting with surgery. Every day is different and exciting. Escaping the hecticness of everyday life to the mountains is my favorite. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, swimming, and exploring with my heeler mix, Jeter. When I’m not in the mountains, I love being with family and friends or playing and watching sports.
Tianna
Technician Assistant
Arrowhead since the spring of 2022. I grew up with a variety of my own pets and lots of foster animals. I have always had a strong love for animals and have had wonderful opportunities to volunteer and work with dogs, cats, and horses in the past. I feel very lucky to be able to work at Arrowhead now and interact with and help animals every day.
I love the wonderful team here at Arrowhead and could not imagine a better place to work.

Tamara
Receptionist/Administrator
I am originally from a small town in BC called 100 Mile House. I lived on a big acreage with all sorts of animals, from horses to bunnies to dogs and cats. You could often find me digging in the garden searching for worms, ladybugs and snails. When I was seven, my family moved to the lower mainland, which is where I lived until I was 18. During that time, I had all sorts of animals.
In 2015 I decided I needed a change and moved to Alberta. Since then, I have worked in various customer service roles and received my diploma to be a Legal Assistant. In 2018 I was lucky enough to take home my puppy, Indiana. She is a feisty rat terrier and never fails to challenge me in some way. Later that year, I brought home my kitty, Romey, who is the friendliest kitty you could ever meet. I now also have my puppy, Sly, who I adopted on December 31, 2022. He is the sweetest boy and keeps me very busy.
In my free time, you can find me watching movies, working out, listening to music, walking my dogs, and spending time with family and pets.
Lisa
Receptionist
I grew up in Sackville, New Brunswick where I owned a horse boarding, training and breeding facility. I moved to Cochrane in 2018 and absolutely adore it here, even though my three wonderful, handsome sons remain on the east coast. We enjoy our visits when we can!
I am a compassionate person with a positive attitude. Since coming to Arrowhead, I love helping our clients and patients every day with enthusiasm and empathy. I love my fellow colleagues and I feel blessed to have such a great place to work!
My passion is spending time in nature and I enjoy going to the Rockies and camping. Some of my favourite hobbies and activities are playing the piano, reading, crocheting, and get togethers with family and friends.
Brianne
Technician Assistant
I’ve had the pleasure of working at Arrowhead since the summer of 2020, and since then, I’ve learned so much being a technician’s assistant.
This job has allowed me to explore my passion for animals, and I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing team. In 2021 I graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Exercise Physiology, and in the future I hope to further my education to include animal rehabilitation as well.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing yoga, and spending time in the mountains. I also love spending time with my dog, Axel, who enjoys treats, going for walks, and learning agility.
Elouise
Technician Assistant
I was born in the UK then spent my early childhood living in South Africa before moving to Canada. I have always had a love for animals, having many pets throughout my life, from fish to guinea pigs, cats, and dogs.
I currently live with my pack in Cochrane, and when I’m not working at the clinic or spending quality time with my fur family, you can find me out on the trails around Cochrane and Canmore biking, running, or skiing. I also have a love for sports and have represented Canada on the world stage twice, once in Pyeong Chang, South Korea, and in Austria for cross country skiing.
Hunter
Technician Assistant
I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with First Class Honours. I’ve been with the clinic since August 2020.
I take pride in making sure animals have as stress-free of an experience as possible. When it comes to taking care of patients, I find joy in helping clients understand why we do what we do.
In my free time, you can find me hiking Alberta’s beautiful mountains, painting in multiple mediums with a focus on animals and landscapes, or honing my skills in wildlife photography.
Janine
RVT, Hospital Manager
I graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program at Fairview College in 1998 and have been practicing for 24 years now.
I have always loved my connection with the Human-Animal Bond. Over my years of being an RVT, I have worked different aspects of veterinary medicine, including ICU, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Shelter Medicine, Mixed Animal, Canine Blood Donor Programs, and Hospital Management. I have found my true passion is the bond in Small Animal Practice and truly love working with the wonderful team and clients at Arrowhead Veterinary Centre.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband Shaun and 2 children Konar and Kayleigh. We have 2 cats Tarzan and Figaro, and Guinea Pig Coco. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, and being in the mountains. I love spending time in the garden.
Julie
Receptionist
My family and I emigrated from Yeovil, Somerset, in England, to Cochrane in September 2008. We continue to enjoy the amazing scenery and always have lots of fun exploring different parts of Alberta. I still remember our first trip to the mountains. We were all speechless, they are amazing!
I enjoy going for family picnics, camping, and hiking. I started working at Arrowhead in January 2011 and feel very lucky to be working in such a friendly, caring, and interesting environment. I have learned an enormous amount, it really has been fantastic –no one day is ever the same!
I did leave Alberta briefly to return to England in 2017 until June 2019but was lucky enough to be offered my position back within Arrowhead. I love being back and seeing all the familiar furry faces and meeting lots of new ones! I made a lot of friends during my time here, not just with work colleagues but clients too, and am glad to be back amongst them all.
I have three grown-up children, Bradley, Liam, and Hannah, who I am very proud of, they are pretty amazing kids! Sophie is my dog, she is a Yorkiepoo, almost 13 but acts like a puppy! I love her energy, and she is quite the princess.
The team I work with is all amazing, they definitely are my work family.
Julie-Anne
Receptionist
I graduated from the New Liskeard College of Agriculture and the University of Waterloo.
I grew up in a rural community on the edge of Algonquin Park. I’ve always had a connection with animals and was the one who brought home all the strays. My first experience with animals was at the age of one when our brand new puppy, Chip, was brought home. Since then, I’ve had too many cats and too many dogs to name. I’ve had 4 horses, one of which I trained with my youngest daughter.
As a mother of 2 and a Granny of 3, I’ve instilled the value of pet ownership. I should say that I enjoy interacting with people as much as with animals. Working at Arrowhead Veterinary Centre allows me the opportunity to enjoy both.
In my free time, my partner, Darrell, and I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Laura
Technician Assistant/Receptionist
I am attending the Animal Health Technician program at Olds College in July 2022 and have been with Arrowhead Veterinary Centre in September 2021.
My goal as a vet tech is to care for and help animals who cannot help themselves and be their advocate.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog Willow, hiking, yoga, and volunteering.
Megan
Technician Assistant
I have lived here in Calgary all my life, and graduated as a tech assistant. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy our rocky mountain backyard and see some pretty amazing sites.
I’ve grown up surrounded by regular foster animals. I’m a passionate person when it comes to animal welfare and care. I have a house full of cats, plus my little dog and some reptiles. One of my favorite hobbies is to camp with my horse and family.
I enjoy being a member of the Arrowhead team, sharing the compassion of everyone there. We are a family that cares about all the lives that come through our doors.
Melody
Human Resources Manager
I was raised on a farm north of Cochrane and have lived in the Cochrane area most of my life. My first three jobs were at Veterinary Clinics and Boarding Kennels, and then I moved into the field of Organizational Development and Human Resources in the corporate world. After a brief “retirement”, I was fortunate to join the Arrowhead team and return to a career that blended my love of animals with my Human Resources knowledge.
I live in Cochrane with my husband, Joe, and our dog Molly. She is a Lab/Poodle/Old English Sheepdog and can often be seen running as fast as she can at the dog parks. She also takes Agility, and we both enjoy the challenges of that!
I love the family here at Arrowhead and enjoy being able to contribute to the team and care of all the pets we see.
Michele
Registered Veterinary Technologist
When I was a child, I grew up and enjoyed playing around my grandparents’ dairy farm in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. I have always loved being surrounded by animals, especially cats.
After graduating high school, I moved to Montreal to study Animal Sciences at McGill University and as a result, obtained my BSc degree and my Professional Agrologist certification. I started my career in a pet food manufacturer’s R&D department and later on, moved to a major agricultural retail group as a nutritional formulator developing swine, dairy cattle and poultry feeds. I relocated to Alberta with my husband Stephan in October 2008 for the love of the stunning Rocky Mountains.
I spent my first winter as a snowboard instructor. I also worked for an agricultural crop protection company in Calgary where I learned all about Western Canadian agriculture. After living in Canmore for 5 years, we moved to beautiful Cochrane in 2013.
Missing close contact with animals, I volunteered at the Cochrane and Area Humane Society and decided to reorient my career. I went back to school at Olds College and graduated with my Animal Health Technology diploma in hand. Today, I am very fortunate to be part of the Arrowhead Veterinary Centre team as a Registered Veterinary Technologist.
I have gained precious knowledge while working within this remarkable team since 2015. Stephan and I share our home with our adorable dog Prusik, and we enjoy the outdoors doing rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, camping, and hiking.
Paige
Receptionist
I’ve lived in the Cochrane area since 2009 and have been on an acreage just north of the town for the last 8 years. This is where my love of animals evolved with our dogs, cats, and horses, and where I decided I wanted to pursue a career where I could continue to be around what I love.
In my spare time, I love to ride horses, competitively curl, listen to music, crochet, and spend time with my family.
After graduating in 2020, Arrowhead has given me the best opportunity to work as a Technician Assistant and grow my perspectives of the world of veterinary medicine. I am taking some more time to confirm my aspirations for the future, but right now plan to attend Olds College to receive my diploma in Animal Health Technology in years to come. I am beyond happy at AVC and love the compassion for animals of every staff member.
Ryley
Technician Assistant
I am a technician assistant at Arrowhead Veterinary Centre. I’ve lived in Cochrane my whole life and have recently moved onto an acreage. Here I live with my parents, twin sisters, along with our four barn cats, the chocolate lab, as well as ducks, and chickens along with others.
When I’m not studying, I love to spend time outdoors hiking, camping, skiing, or lying on the lawn. I also love spending time with my animals, horseback riding, and painting. I have always had a passion for the health of our furry family members, as well as Alberta’s wildlife. Our many varying types of pets throughout the years have solidified my love for dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, and others.
Working at Arrowhead has allowed me to experience the greatest opportunity to observe behind the scenes of the vet world and has solidified my desire to pursue the path of vet med in the future. I am currently studying at the University of Calgary, working towards a science degree that I will use as a stepping stone to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. I am very grateful to be a part of the Arrowhead family and to be surrounded by so many caring people.
Stacey
Technician Assistant
I’ve always had a strong connection with animals, growing up with cats and dogs, enjoying horseback riding with friends, and helping on my parent’s hobby farm. After getting a degree in education and being a stay-at-home mom for our two daughters, our family was offered an opportunity to live in Southern Alberta, and we chose Cochrane.
We enjoy spending time in the mountains, hiking, skiing, and lots of camping! We share our home with a Chocolate Lab, an aloof kitty, and a small box turtle! I can honestly say I love going to work every day! Not only for the animals but also my Arrowhead family is wonderful! My favourite part of my work is earning an animal’s trust and helping them get well and stay healthy. And of course, snuggling puppies!!
Steffi
Technician Assistant
I am originally from Germany and came to Canada with my partner Mark in 2015. We traveled to many countries beginning in 2012, and with our love for nature, hiking, and the mountains, we quickly decided to settle in Canada.
I have always had a passion for animals of all kinds. I grew up on a little farm with horses, cats, dogs, and bunnies. After I left Germany and my job as a pediatric nurse, I traveled and worked in New Zealand and Australia on big ranches and stables.
When we arrived in Canada, we worked and lived on an amazing acreage, but we moved into town in the summer 2019. We live with our goofy and spoiled rescue cats Pumpkin, Yoda, and Boots, who entertain us, keep us busy, and made our house a home.
I ran a boarding kennel outside of Cochrane, and am lucky to still have strong bonds with many of the wonderful clients. I left to pursue a different direction and began working at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society as an Animal Care Specialist. Missing my medical background more than I thought, I was very excited to start full-time as a Technician Assistant at this wonderful clinic.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on animals lives and to be a part of this amazing, caring, and supportive team. It never ceases to amaze me that you can learn something new every day.
Tiffany
Registered Veterinary Technologist
I finished my Bachelor of Science in Biology (Honours) at the University of Lethbridge in 2019. I have always had a love for animals, and after taking several animal-related classes, I decided to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
I graduated from my Animal Health Technology College in 2021 on the Dean’s list. After completing my practicum at a mixed practice in my hometown of Brooks, I was lucky enough to become a member of the amazing Arrowhead team! Since then, my husband and I have bought a house in Cochrane and are loving being so close to the mountains. When we aren’t cuddled up with our two cats, Phoebe and Merlot, we are out hiking, skiing or snowshoeing.
Tristan
Technician Assistant
I’m new to the veterinary practice, but excited to be a part of this team!
I pride myself in my compassion and my ability to adapt myself to situations with whatever comes into the clinic. I also pride myself with my love of all animals, and how much I care for them which is why I want to become an RVT: to be able to help all animals that come into the clinic.
I grew up in Grande Prairie, AB and moved to Olds for school and then moved to Calgary and work at Arrowhead Veterinary CentreI. I love spending time with my newly adopted cat, Tiny Tim, and I also love going to the gym as well as hiking, quadding, camping or just getting to soak up the sun whenever I can. I have always been involved with sports so coaching football has always been something I have loved doing. But most of all spending time with my family and friends is my favourite thing to do.
Carmen
Registered Veterinary Technologist
I grew up on a farm near Water Valley, AB, and cared for animals, both large and small. After high school, I moved to Calgary, where I worked in office administration. After a few years of this work, I decided it was time to pursue my passion for working with animals.
I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2012 with honours. I worked for many years in Ophthalmology at the CARE Centre in Calgary and also general practice clinics. I volunteered with the Canadian Animal Task Force for several years as well. My professional interests include animal welfare, spay and neuter initiatives, anesthesia, and Ophthalmology. Geriatric patients also hold a very special place in my heart, and I strive to make their final years as happy and comfortable as possible and make their transition over Rainbow Bridge a peaceful experience.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside and going on adventures with my partner and two rescue dogs. I love reading, doing yoga, playing violin, and traveling. I recently moved back to Water Valley and am enjoying the quiet and being immersed in nature again.
