About Sandy

I grew up on a ranch in Dewberry, Alberta as the only girl in a herd of four boys. We raised registered cattle and I learned how to ride (or at least just hang on) on a rubber mouthed Shetland pony. Sunny was impossible to catch and actually spent more time eating than walking but it wasn’t far to fall off if & when I did. I was also very involved in 4H, and participated in the beef, horse, and sewing clubs.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Lethbridge in 2007. I worked as a biologist for 8 years, but have spent most of my time in management in the banking industry, as well as farm finance. I moved to Cochrane three years ago with my daughter Nikkie, my son-in-law Taylor, and my two beautiful granddaughters Sawyer and Caydri. We also share our home with Moose the pooch, Sweets the hamster, and Rainbow the fish. I love spending time with the girls, discovering different species of birds on the lake, and finding the newest adventure out near our home. I also still love to ride, though not on Shetland ponies!
