I have lived in the Calgary area for the past 30 years. My husband and I have 2 grown children and currently 2 beautiful tortie cats named Shelby and Scout and a very busy 12 year old AustralianShepherd. Her name is Indy/Indianna/Indiannabanana/Bubba/Puppup/Snoop..all depending on the situation.
I bring lots of animal experience from The Cochrane and Area Humane Society where I enjoyed working for 12 years in animal care. I have my canine handling and behaviour certificate from Dogma Education and Behaviour Centre in Calgary. I regularly volunteered in the shelter hospital helping the Animal Health Tech and Veterinarian. I was a lead volunteer for the Rural Outreach Program at the shelter and have volunteered for AIWC (Alberta Institute Wildlife Conservation). I also enjoyed helping Alberta Spay and Neuter Task Force with their spay/neuter clinics.
I like to be busy and I learn something new everyday from my wonderful, kind and compassionate colleagues here at Arrowhead Veterinary Centre.
When not caring for animals I enjoy all types of gardening, floral arranging, quilting, antiques and travelling to warm places. I am looking forward to retiring with my husband Scott, downsizing to a cottage on a big lake some day. Becoming snowbirds in the winter.
